Jabi Lake Mall shut down indefinitely for hosting Naira Marley’s concert

Authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration(FCTA), Abuja have shut down the popular Jabi Lake Mall where popular musician, Naira Marley had the drive-in concert yesterday Saturday, June 13, 2020.

The Jabi Lake Mall that hosted Naira Marley’s concert has been indefinitely shut down by the Federal Capital Territory FCT Ministerial Enforcement Task team on COVID -19 Restrictions.

FCTA sealed up Jabi Lake Mall indefinitely for violating the Presidential Task Force’s directives on the ban on public gatherings after they hosted Naira Marley’s concert which was packed.

The mall was parked with fans during the concert Play Network Africa, Traffic Bar, El’Carnival, which proudly sponsored by Glenfiddich had tickets sold out for N20,000 and N250,000, neglecting the social distancing order by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Conctrol (NCDC).

This comes after a video went viral, showing Naira Marley performing at the Mall packed with fans.

In another video, Naira Marley and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Kim Oprah were seen alighting a private plane.

This is in spite of the restrictions placed on air travels by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.
